You can post in the Garage sale forum if you're looking for something! It's not just for selling things :) Just make sure that you specify that you want to buy a black pleated skirt - like, add "looking for" in the thread title.

Anyway, I would suggest you check out Value Village if you haven't already!

To answer all these-
-The closest Anime con is usually the Vancouver on in June.
-You can buy anime DVDs in HMV, for one. I usually order them.
-The mudkip thing is a joke xD Don't worry if you don't get it, and yeah, 'tis a pokemon. It's a water/ground starter pokemon from the Hoenn region which has orange fins on the side of its face xD

lol yepp i know the mudkip. just wonding if it was something different. (lol i'm more of a torchick person myself)

It's called Metrotown Mal by the way and there is a much, MUCH better Sakura Media store on 41st in Vancouver. My favorite Nerd store in the Greater Vancouver area is Mostly Music in Port Coquitlam. Mostly Music, despite their name, has mostly video games. They have thousands upon thousands of old video games from Nintendo 64 all the way back to the Atari days. Especially rare stuff--that's where I picked up Guitaroo Man. They had 4 copies. I almost picked up Panzer Dragoon Saga there, but then I had to move back to Kelowna. :(

SakuraMedia.com is good for anime if you want it right away--they have an online store, and they ship from Vancouver, so it arrives pretty fast since it doesn't need to cross customs at the border. Prices aren't the greatest I've seen, but I've definitely seen worse, and shipping is cheap (and free on $50+ orders). That, combined with not getting random customs fees can make it quite worthwhile. :)

From what I've heard, there is also a new Sakura Media location in Richmond Mall, which is supposed to be incredibly epic--I haven't yet been there though. :(
