We have a change jar. It's a 4 litre jar 10 inches tall. Our goal is to fill the jar with change so we'll have a starting budget to buy supplies for fundraisers. http://ackelowna.proboards.com/index.cgi....splay&thread=76
Me and/or Cheezmo will bring a small change jar to the meets so you can throw in your pennies if you'd like and then we'll dump it into the larger jar.
I'll keep a tally of how much we've collected so far though until I get change rolls it's just a close estimate.
Currently 2inches full = approximately $46.50 if we continue with this average we'd have $220 once it's full

Is it just pennies were throwing in?

If I get a chance to, I'll bring my penny jar to the mall and drop some off. It's kinda my bus money, but it won't matter if I put a couple dollars in. ;]

change jars? if I knew about this sooner I would have totally went to the bank like a insane person and asked for 5 dollars in PENNIES XD
just to see the clerk's face man lol
that and I would definitley give at least 5 bucks!
I want to go to a meetup soon but all these keep happening with the need for money or horrible locations (ie finding a way to peachland AND money issues O_O) I really want to go to the "Everybody Meet" one but no location or date or anything has been confirmed

If anyone needs, we can arrange a drop off at Iggygirl and my house if you've got a large load of coin to drop in. It would probably be a bit safer, as we would have to haul the coin home by walking or bus and it would be safer to not have a large bucket of money with us.
If you don't comfortable with dropping off at our place, that's fine by us, and we could meet at the mall or another location of preference.
Just msg myself or Iggygirl to make arrangements

wow this idea sounds really good I use to do that with change back at home... well just save them in a jar, but I left it for my dad, only ever went through for trips or random snacks now and then, and it would get filled lots, as I hardly use my small change, so I'll start a jar here, and once filled, may take a while though (not going out as much anymore) I'll hand it over to you guys

So so so, if I want to donate but I'm way out in Vancouver, can I mail rolls of small change over? >:
I'm determined to come to the con, so obviously I want to make sure it happens and it amazing.
